Based on the author’s escape from Nazi Germany and the acclaimed
JOURNEY TO AMERICA trilogy. A poignant and informative program about
the Holocaust and the quest for liberty.
5. PERSONAL JOURNEYS OF A WRITER: Where do you get ideas? How did you
get started? What themes are important in your work? What is it like
to live the life of a writer? Presentation with slides, photos and mementos.
6. PATTERNS OF PERSECUTION: “The Cure”
In the middle ages, Jews were accused of poisoning the wells and causing
the Black Death. Back then, patterns of persecution were well established,
laying the groundwork for Hitler and future tyrants. A vital program
that delves into issues of hatred vs. tolerance, with true anecdotes
from both ancient and modern times.
7. ESCAPE FROM ETHIOPIA: “The Return”
A slide presentation showing the life of the remnant community of Ethiopian
Jews and their amazing secret rescue and “return” to the
holy land, Israel, in Operation Moses, 1985.
